Early Years Mentor Network- Creating a Community of Practice

The Early Years Professional Network was formed with the intention to combine Child Care Network with Mentor Network for a streamlined approach to networking.

Beginning September 2017, we will update the model to alternate between an article study one month, and a site tour the next month.

The Early Years Professional Network will continue every other month, on the 3rdTuesday of the month during the day from 1:30-3:30 pm at Childreach and will focus on an article to study and discuss as a Community of Practice.

On alternate monthsThe Mentor Network Working Group, will arrange site tours, which will include a cross section of what our early years community has to offer namely Child Care Centres, Family Centres, FDK classrooms and a combination of all three.

Evening site tours will include a brief introduction of the site by our hosts, some guided questions to consider while touring and a debrief of the participants experience to wrap up the night.

It is our intention to tie both the article studies and site tours together in our discussions, however you will not need to attend every opportunity, every month to benefit from these experiences.

It is important that you register with your unique email address on Eventbrite for these events. Details about the specific article  and site locations and times will be available in the Professional Learning Calendar . Link here
